Pakistan is not the next target; the game is still on in Africa. It requires more priority by US than Asia now. In November 2009, I have published a lengthy paper, detailing my observation of the Central and North African regions, in Particular, The Sahel, which is 5,400 km (3,400 mi) from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Red Sea in the east. US troops movement and deployment in Africa was being noticed since early 21st century. Long suppression of European powers, particularly Financial Institutes and Businesses has lead African Nations to look towards China. Cino-Angolan Relations have become the first prominent example. Today Angola is largest Trading partner of China in Africa. China helped Angolan guerrilla fighters against Portuguese. The UNITA, lead by Jonas Savimbi was key Chinese ally. The venture paid very well in coming years. Angola not only provided China with the strongest position in Africa but also recruited Mozambique for China.
In my recent visits to Mozambique, I concluded that all the Large Scale commercial, Industrial and infrastructure projects in Mozambique are being developed by China. Mozambican National Airline “LAM” is becoming more and more efficient in its service and fleet while its economy is now one of the fastest growing economies in the world. US has placed current FRELIMO government as drug traffickers and money launderers. These allegations are simply false. According to my personal observation and meetings with local and foreigners in Maputo, Nacala, Pemba, Beira, Nampula and Tete revealed that allegations by US Ambassador in Mozambique (opened by Wikileaks) Mr. Todd Chapman (later in 2010, he was appointed as the Senior Deputy Coordinator for Development and Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan) are baseless and have no reality. IMF has killed the cashew nut industry of Mozambique.
Mozambique is witnessing massive industrialization and financial development with the Help of China and Middle Eastern Muslim world. Indians are also trying to penetrate into the booming economy of Mozambique but the Govt. on all levels is discouraging them.
It is the case of Tanzania where major and mega projects like Airport, Dams, Railway development and up-gradation (TAZARA) are being carried out by China. These projects are funded, equipped and supplied by Chinese Govt and businesses as well. West in general while US in particular propagate the China is just investing into mining in Africa to acquire its hunger for mineral resources of Africa, this is completely false. China is helping Africa in various sectors like energy, education and health. A variety of Chinese projects have been established in Tanzania, from the legendary Tanzania-Zambia Railway (TAZARA) and Friendship Textile Factory in the 1970s to the most recently inaugurated ultra-modern Olympic-standard National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam. China National Heavy Machines (CNHM) and the Rufiji Basin Development Authority (RUBADA), in September 2010, finalized a US$1.2 billion investment in a 464 megawatt project in the Rufiji Basin’s Kilombero district in central Tanzania, by the Kinengenas and Shuguri waterfalls. Another project is in the Kilombero district, involving Chinese investment of $US 400 million in a 165 mw hydro power station on the Mpanga river. By the end of 2008, there were 224 Chinese investment projects in Tanzania in the following sectors: manufacturing (163), construction (21), tourism (11), transport (7), services (7), agriculture (6), natural resources (6) and telecommunication (3). Today they are over 1000.
The cases of Zimbabwe, Burundi, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and central africa are identical. As US and NATO were busy in Middle East, China has taken the opportunity to expand its control over Africa. Pakistan is witnessing the largest covert war in the history. The Nation is severely divided and disturbed by the western secret agencies. Terrorism, Financial crisis, infrastructure destruction (Today Railway, Airline and land routes are just 25% efficient from Lahore to Karachi while Baluchistan, KPK are in worst conditions). During 2008 – 09, Pakistan was the first nation to seek bailout, fearing the default(Paul Mason, “Meltdown”). To my view, Saudi Arabia’s interests in Pakistani nukes were a significant hurdle for the west to de-weaponise Pakistan but now with Saudi Arabia acquiring its own nuclear power, it is clear to me that this hurdle is now removed and Pakistani nuclear assets are the prime target of on-going political and covert games. Pakistani nuclear power along with its missile technology is the greatest threat to Israel. Like Faisal (King), Z.A. Bhutto, Saddam, and Qaddafi, Pakistani nuclear ability is it self a distinguished entity and aimed foe for Israel. US’s motives about Pakistan are clear to me. She is not going to invade it, rather destabilize it, divide it and tore it apart covertly, diplomatically and politically while war-zone will be Africa, possibly Central Africa.
